Mosques in Iran will start opening on Monday
Dubai. May 3. INTERFAX-mosques are planned to open in a number of regions of Iran as early as may 4, President Hassan Rouhani said at a meeting of the anti-crisis epidemiological staff on Sunday.
According to him, mosques will be opened in 132 districts of the country, where the risk of infection with coronavirus is recognized as minimal, while the authorities of these districts remind that security is recognized as mandatory by the norms of Islam, so they do not insist that believers necessarily come to prayer in mosques.
Iran was the most epidemiologically unfavorable country in the region. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in the country, more than 96.4 thousand patients have been diagnosed with infection, of which more than 6.1 thousand have died.
