The US has removed Uzbekistan from the list of countries of special concern in the sphere of religious freedoms
Tashkent. April 29. INTERFAX-the US Commission on international religious freedom (USCIRF) has excluded Uzbekistan from the list of countries of special concern in the field of religious freedoms, the press service of the Uzbek foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.
"For the first time since 2005, the US Commission on international religious freedom did not suggest that the state Department list Uzbekistan as a "country of special concern in the field of religious freedoms" (CPC)," the report said.
The corresponding conclusion is presented in the USCIRF report distributed on April 28, which assesses the state of religious freedom in the world in 2019.
