The bill introduces the education of students in school educational programs in the form of separate educational programs and calendar plans, which schools will have to develop themselves based on the approximate plans of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the document clarifies the very definition of the educational process - now it includes the formation of" a sense of patriotism and citizenship", respect for the law," the man of labor and the older generation","to the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland and the exploits Of heroes of the Fatherland". Also, according to the law, education should promote a careful attitude of schoolchildren to the cultural heritage of the "multinational people" of the Russian Federation and the environment.
"With this bill, the President proposes to make the education of children and young people a mandatory part of the educational process. Education should include not only knowledge and skills, but also spiritual and moral values that form a person, a citizen, and unite society," state Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said earlier.
According to the bill, educational programs must be brought into compliance with the provisions of the law no later than September 1, 2021.
Earlier, the Minister of education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov noted that the new norm should not lead to separate lessons and assessments "for patriotism" in Russian schools.
