Irkutsk. August 28. INTERFAX - fsbi "Reserved Pribaikalie" fined the organizer of a pyrotechnic show near the sacred Buryat Cape Burhan on Olkhon island in the Pribaikalsky national Park, the press service of the institution reported on Friday.
"The actions of the direct organizer of the fireworks were found to violate Federal legislation that defines the regime of special protection of the territories of national parks. The man was given an administrative penalty in accordance with article 8.39 of the administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The organizer of the pyrotechnic show admitted his guilt and agreed to pay a fine, " the report says.
The press service of the "Reserved Baikal region" told Interfax that the violator was fined 3 thousand rubles.
The organization that provided water transport services to tourists submitted to the institution a permit to stay and dock in the Baikal water area in the Baikal national Park, a contract for the provision of transport services to the customer.
"The representative of the organization assured that the requirement of the law in the form of a ban on the carriage of pyrotechnic products on Board is strictly fulfilled and explained: the carrier did not have information about holding a pyrotechnic show near Cape Burhan, ordered by passengers," the message reads.
In turn, the Baikal interregional environmental Prosecutor's office reported that tourists used the cruise catamaran "Galsan"for recreation. The rules of movement on the ship provided for a ban on pyrotechnic events, but, despite the approved order, "the planned fireworks, accompanied by loud music, was still arranged and not stopped by the captain of the catamaran."
The Prosecutor's office is preparing a report on violation of the protected area regime to Galsan LLC.
It is noted that the pyrotechnic show was staged near the nesting sites of red-book birds, on a particularly valuable territory, where it is forbidden to create excessive noise in order to preserve the unique ecosystem.
As reported, in early August, a video was revealed on the Internet, which shows how tourists arranged a noisy holiday with the use of music and pyrotechnics near the nature monument on the sacred territory. The environmental Prosecutor's office initiated a review.
Cape Burhan (Shamanka) is one of the main symbols of lake Baikal and is sacred for both shamanists and Buddhists.
