Glenn Beck and Religion

Glenn Beck is a conservative political pundit in America. He is Mormon.

In 1999 he and his wife joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Beck credits his faith with saving him from alcohol and drugs. He has further said that he has found orthodox Christianity wanting. Beck emphasizes the importance of religion in his monologues, but rarely argues for the Mormon faith in particular.

Christians emphasize that when Beck urges the country to turn to God it’s important to question which God he is referring to. Nevertheless, Republicans and Evangelicals in particular compose a large percentage of his audience.
